God of War Ragnarok Has Gone Gold – GameRant

Santa Monica Studio confirms that the highly-anticipated God of War Ragnarok has gone gold ahead of its release early next month.
Developer Santa Monica Studio confirms that God of War Ragnarok has gone gold ahead of its release next month. God of War Ragnarok is one of the most anticipated games of 2022 and it officially comes out on November 9. It’s the second and final God of War game set in Norse mythology, marking the end of this chapter of Kratos’ story.
God of War Ragnarok was originally announced at a PlayStation Showcase event in 2020. The short teaser simply featured a logo and a 2021 release window, and some fans predicted that it would get delayed due to Sony not showing any gameplay footage. Sony revealed God of War Ragnarok’s release date in July 2022 and reiterated that the game would not get delayed any further. It’s now confirmed that God of War Ragnarok will launch next month on PlayStation consoles.

God of War Ragnarok has now gone gold, meaning that the game is ready for mass production ahead of its scheduled launch. Santa Monica Studio shares a tweet thanking partners and fans for their support throughout the development period. The development team mentions that it cannot wait for God of War Ragnarok to release on November 9, and for all the fans to play the game.
Players should keep in mind that a game may not be without faults or bugs even after reaching this stage. Many of these issues are solved via a day-one patch closer to its release, and the same will likely be true in God of War Ragnarok’s case. Some developers also keep adding new quality-of-life improvements and other features for months after release. Horizon Forbidden West is a great example of this, as Guerrilla Games has released several useful updates post its launch.
God of War Ragnarok will reportedly take around 40 hours to complete in its entirety. This includes all side quests and other activities, but the story is approximately 20 hours long ago. Furthermore, God of War Ragnarok takes up a lot of space, as the PS4 version requires over 90 GB of storage. The size of the PS5 version is currently unknown, so fans will probably have to wait for preload to begin to get a final answer.
God of War Ragnarok launches on November 9 for PS4 and PS5.
